Why is there a popping sound when a joint is adjusted?
Adjustment of a joint may result in release of gas bubbles between the joints that make a popping sound – it’s exactly the same as when you “crack” your knuckles. The noise is caused by the change of pressure within the joint that results in gas bubbles being released. There is no pain involved.

ProAdjuster® - Computerized Adjustments
The ProAdjuster® - A Breakthrough in Chiropractic Healing
Imagine thirty to forty years ago, if we told you that dentistry would be painless, that doctors would watch television to perform surgeries, that brain surgery for tumors could be done with a laser, that fetuses could be operated on within the uterus, that knife-less surgery could be performed- you would not have believed us. By the same token, would you believe us if we told you that chiropractic treatments and reorientation of the nervous system could be done comfortably, while you were sitting in an upright position without any turning or sudden movements? Would you believe that newborns as well as the elderly with osteoporosis can be treated safely and gently?
How Does the ProAdjuster Work?
The ProAdjuster is the most advanced chiropractic analysis and treatment instrument in existence today. Advances in computers and engineering technologies have been able to uniquely blend with chiropractic in order to both analyze and treat the human body in such a way that was never before realized.
The ProAdjuster works similarly to the way a chiropractor palpates a spine to check for joint fluidity, motion, and/or rigidity. Subluxation occurs when improper motion affects the nerve function. The ProAdjuster® can determine whether subluxation exists in the spine by measuring the precise levels of motion and isolating the problem much faster and more accurately than manual procedures.
Once the ProAdjuster has discovered the subluxation points, treatment is then applied to the site by applying the ProAdjuster's Resonant Force Impulse. This will relieve pressure on the nerve, allow it to heal, and restore its ability to transmit signals to the brain more freely.
